In Memory of Marianne Accorsi
San Felipe Rescue, Volunteers for Indigent and Vulnerable Animals (VIVA) have lost a loving and dedicated soul, Marianne Accorsi of EL CAJON ANIMAL RESCUE in San Diego County.
Marianne who has “crossed the Rainbow Bridge” after a battle with cancer over several years left this earth way too early but not without leaving her indelible and beautiful mark on Animal Rescue and Animal Adoption in Southern California, while supporting the animals of San Felipe and VIVA.
Marianne was very dedicated in helping VIVA find forever homes for their rescues through EL CAJON ANIMAL RESCUE, Marianne’s rescue/adoption organization. Over the years Marianne helped provide loving forever homes for over 150 VIVA rescued pups and adult dogs at Rancho San Diego’s PETCO every Saturday & Sunday.
While having chemo treatments during the week, she continued her work at the PETCO store in Rancho San Diego every Saturday and Sunday. Many of those 3 plus years Marianne would spend several days at the hospital, sick to her stomach or extremely tired, but she was still there on Saturdays and Sundays supporting the animals.
VIVA will be forever grateful to Marianne and Mike Canaris who continue the work of helping animals in need, find loving forever homes. Thank you again from VIVA, we will always remember the blessings of your care.
Thank you VIVA for remembering such a dear and loving soul. I will share this with her family who I know will be very pleased.
